Separate interests, preferences, and skills

Enjoying an activity does not establish skill, and being good at something does not mean you want it in your next role. Make three separate lists, then look for overlap. For an interest questionnaire, the official O*NET Interest Profiler offers a separate starting point.

Turn a result into a small test

Choose two roles. Read current job descriptions, speak to someone who does each job, and try a small representative task. Compare the actual work with the conditions you identified, including income, hours, location, and training.

Questions you might have

Can a personality test tell me my ideal job?

No single score establishes an ideal job. Use it to generate questions about work, then check skills, constraints, and actual job requirements.

Is the Work Values report free?

Yes. All answers, indicators, and reflection prompts in this report are free, with no account required.
