in this browser.
In this version, answers and scores are calculated on your device. TraitMap does not automatically receive your answers, and no account is required.
What is stored
- During a test: answers, the instrument version, and start time are kept in session storage in this tab. This supports returning to the questionnaire.
- After completion: the report’s answers, version, and timestamps stay in this tab’s session storage. Closing a tab usually clears session storage; browser restore features may retain it.
- Only when you choose Save: up to 30 reports are kept in local storage on this device. They remain until deleted or browser data is cleared.
- Downloads and prints: files you create are outside TraitMap’s storage. Delete those copies separately when needed.
What is not collected
This version has no third-party analytics, advertising scripts, AI API calls, or payment integrations. Fonts and illustrations are served with the site. We do not send answer events, report scores, names, or free-form personal information to an analytics provider.
Page requests and external links
TraitMap is hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare processes connection data, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, and browser information, to deliver and protect the site. Your questionnaire answers and scores are not included in these requests.
The TraitMap application does not store a separate server-side copy of request logs or questionnaire data. Cloudflare may retain operational and security data under its own policies; clearing your local reports does not delete that provider data. Links to IPIP, O*NET, and other sources open separate websites governed by their own privacy practices. TraitMap does not put your answers into their URLs.
Operator and support emails
TraitMap operates this website. For support or privacy questions, contact support@traitmap.app. If you choose to email us, we process your email address and the contents of your message to respond to your request. You do not need to attach questionnaire answers or reports; any details you include become part of that email.
Control your local data
Anyone who can use this browser profile may be able to open saved reports. Avoid saving on a shared device if that is a concern. You can clear TraitMap’s drafts, completed tab results, and local profile below. Reports open in other tabs may remain in those tabs; close them or clear their data too.
Future services
If accounts, analytics, AI services, or payments are added, this explanation will be updated before those services collect data. Any optional usage analytics will require a clear choice before collection begins.
