Big Five Personality
Uses the 50-item IPIP Big-Five Factor Markers, with the published 1–5 response scale and scoring key. Each dimension sums ten items after reverse scoring. Your report shows raw scores and item means; it does not claim a population percentile. Instructions and interpretations are written by TraitMap.
What we ask
Describe yourself as you generally are now, rather than as you wish to be. Rate how accurately each statement describes you. There are no right or wrong personality answers.

How the report is calculated
The published IPIP key assigns ten items to each of five dimensions. Responses are scored from 1 to 5. A reverse-keyed item is scored as 6 minus your response. We add the ten scored items for a raw score from 10 to 50 and divide by ten for a mean from 1 to 5.
There are no population percentiles, diagnostic cutoffs, or MBTI conversions. A mean above or below 3 is described relative to the response midpoint only, not the population. “Intellect / imagination” is not an IQ score.
Answer-quality checks
We display a review reminder when at least eight rated items all receive the same response, or completion takes less than one second per item on average. For Big Five, we also check five related item pairs (1/6, 3/38, 5/40, 15/30, 7/32): three or more differences of at least three scale points after reverse scoring trigger a reminder.
These are transparent heuristics, not validated lie detection or reliability estimates. Different situations can explain differences. A reminder does not change scores or hide a report. They cannot prevent deliberate manipulation.
